VIDEO: The Opening Ceremony of the World Cup is Underway in Qatar

The opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup begins at the "Al Bayt" stadium located in the Al Khor suburb of Doha, the capital of Qatar. This is the first time the World Cup is hosted by a Middle Eastern, Arab, Muslim country.

In the opening match, the Qatari national team will compete against Ecuador. The match is set to kick off at 20:00 Yerevan time.
