"Solving the Problem Now Doesn't Mean It Will Be Resolved": Kerobyan on Lars

The government is working daily in that direction, and we see every day that the throughput of cargo transportation through Lars is increasing. This was noted by Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan during an interview with NEWS.am at the 15th anniversary celebration of the Armenian Investment Council of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on November 30.

“We must remember that every winter, Lars faces issues. The fact that we will solve the problem now does not mean that the issue will be resolved. We see solutions to the problem in alternative routes, and you know that we are working in that direction,” he said.

It is noteworthy that after the explosion of the Crimean bridge, the Russian side tightened control at the Lars checkpoint, resulting in huge queues, with Armenian trucks waiting for weeks and incurring significant losses.
