Biden Discusses U.S. Victory Over Iran and Advancing to Playoffs

U.S. President Joe Biden congratulated the national football team for their victory over Iran's team in the World Cup held in Qatar, which allowed them to advance to the playoffs (1-0).

“When I spoke with the coach and the players, I said, ‘You can do this.’ And they did,” Biden's remarks were quoted by NBC.

The U.S. team earned 5 points and advanced to the playoffs from second place in Group B. In the Round of 16, the U.S. team will face the Netherlands on December 3.
