Scandal in the Cameroon National Team: Coach Removes Goalkeeper Onana from National Squad

Andre Onana will no longer play for the Cameroon national team. This was reported by renowned insider Fabrizio Romano. The conflict between the player and coach Rigobert Song stemmed from differing approaches to the organization of the football game. According to the player, the coach's ideas are far from football and do not align with his own understanding of the game. This dialogue has created tension between Andre and Rigobert.

Romano added that goalkeeper Onana, who set a record in the group stage of the World Cup, insisted that he would not change his 'traditional' playing style. Andre had no intention of altering his play at Song's request. In the midst of this tense situation, the coach, wanting to assert his authority before the other players of the Cameroon national team, informed the goalkeeper that he would not play in the match against Serbia.
