Alen Simonian's Statement on the Resignations of Three MPs

According to the first part of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of the National Assembly, members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Vahe Hakobyan, Hripsime Stambulyan, and Elena Kirakosyan submitted their resignation requests on November 29, 2022.

As per the second part of Article 155 of the same law, if an MP withdraws their resignation request in writing within a week after the public announcement of their resignation, the president of the Assembly issues a statement regarding this. If the MP does not withdraw their resignation request, a record is drawn up regarding the termination of their powers, which is signed and published by the president of the National Assembly. From the moment of publication of this record, the resignation is considered accepted.
