VIDEO: Unrest in China as iPhone Factory Workers Trapped at Workplace
For two weeks, workers at the Foxconn iPhone assembly plant in China have been trapped at their workplace due to coronavirus restrictions.
This situation has led to unrest and has resulted in a loss of 6 million units of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max this year alone.
Aside from being 'imprisoned' within the factory walls, workers have expressed dissatisfaction with living conditions, food, and the lack of essential goods.
Subsequently, Foxconn has experienced a mass exodus of staff.
To prevent further declines in production, the company has offered bonuses to workers who left to return.
Additionally, the factory is actively trying to attract new employees.
