The forward of Real Madrid and the French national team, Karim Benzema, may still return to the national team camp and participate in the World Cup playoffs, reports Onda Madrid.

Benzema left the team camp due to a muscular injury; however, it is now stated that the recovery of the 34-year-old player is progressing quickly, and he will be able to recover before the end of the tournament.

The final decision rests with the head coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps. Benzema remains on the team's roster. The French national team has already secured a place in the Round of 16.
