Turkish Air Force Strikes Oil Fields in Northeastern Syria

The Turkish Air Force has struck oil fields in northeastern Syria and positions of the Kurdish Workers' Party. Attacks targeted oil sites in the Hasakah province, as well as the headquarters of Kurdish representatives in the city of Qamishli. Turkish military aircraft also shelled the city of Al-Malikiyah, damaging the local gas pipeline. This information has been reported by international news agencies.

It is worth recalling that Turkish President Erdoğan has stated that the operations of the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Syria and Iraq are 'only the beginning', and Ankara is determined to ensure border security.

Additionally, Ankara conducted an air operation against the Syrian branch of the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party in northern Syria on Sunday. Reports indicate that strikes were also carried out in the city of Kobani, as well as in Northern Iraq. President Erdoğan described the operation as successful and did not rule out the possibility of subsequent ground operations.

On Tuesday night, Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced that 184 militants had been neutralized during the two-day 'Claw-Tiger' operation in Syria and Iraq.
