Zakharova on UN's Assessment of the Shooting of Russian Soldiers

The UN is hiding behind general expressions when assessing the shooting of Russian soldiers in Donbas, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“In this case, they are hiding behind general expressions, avoiding any assessment of the facts,” Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel, commenting on reports that the UN is concerned about any violations of human rights related to the video of retribution against Russian servicemen in Donbas.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson recalled how the UN was “very verbose, specific, and proactive” when assessing the events in Bucha.

“Regarding the allegations, as we all remember, they reported with all their heart, although it turned out that they had no data or authority to collect them,” Zakharova noted.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Ukrainian servicemen had deliberately killed 10 captured Russian soldiers. On November 18, a video surfaced online showing Ukrainian soldiers shooting Russian soldiers who had surrendered and were lying on the ground. According to the chairman of the Human Rights Council, Valery Fadeev, this incident occurred in the village of Makeevka in the Luhansk People's Republic.
