What Gagik Beglaryan Said at the NSS Regarding the Scandalous Case of 24 Properties Theft

According to exclusive information from ArmLur.am, Gagik Beglaryan has been summoned to the National Security Service (NSS) and has familiarized himself with the criminal proceedings initiated against him by the NSS. However, our sources indicate that when it came time for questioning, Gagik Beglaryan stated that he was exercising his right to refuse to testify. He mentioned that the Mayor of Yerevan had also declined to provide a statement regarding the theft of 24 properties.

It is noteworthy that recently, the General Prosecutor’s Office examined the criminal proceedings being investigated by the NSS’s investigative department, during which it was revealed that from 2002 to 2010, G.B., who previously served as the head of the “Center” community of Yerevan and later as the Mayor of Yerevan, abused his official position contrary to the interests of service and embezzled a substantial amount of public assets through the misuse of his official position, stealing numerous real estate properties located in Yerevan and other areas.

The investigation concerns 24 properties and three land plots. As a result of the criminal activities, several buildings allocated for preschool educational institutions (kindergartens) were also seized, which led to the cessation of their activities and violated the rights and legal interests of dozens of children attending these educational institutions.
