Sale of All Types of Pyrotechnic Products to Citizens to be Banned Starting from 2023

Fireworks will be conducted exclusively for festive and special events with the permission of the community leader or government, and only in locations permitted by the community. This was stated on Facebook by Sisak Gabrielyan, co-author of the legislative draft and a member of the "Civil Contract" faction in the National Assembly.

"The use, import, and sale of fireworks will be permitted exclusively to licensed organizations. Citizens will be allowed to purchase only household type fireworks (such as sparklers, small fireworks for cakes, etc.).

"About two years ago, I prepared this draft law with Tigran Avinyan, and after making certain amendments with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, I have put it into circulation today. The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan presented the decision on local self-governments at a council meeting yesterday, specifying areas in Yerevan where fireworks can be conducted on festive and special occasions (Republic Square, Freedom Square).
Note: If the draft law is approved in Parliament, the new regulations will come into effect in June 2023," wrote Gabrielyan.
