Ministry of Defense Releases Statement
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reports that Azerbaijan has disseminated yet another piece of misinformation.
"The statement issued by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claiming that on November 22, between 10:35 and 14:30, units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is yet another piece of disinformation," the Armenian Ministry of Defense's statement reads.
It is noteworthy that a short while ago, the Defense Army of Artsakh also released a statement which specifically mentioned: On November 22, for the second time during the day, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense disseminated another piece of misinformation claiming that between 09:17 and 14:48, units of the Defense Army violated the ceasefire regime and opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions.
Recall that since September 13, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have been intensively firing from artillery and heavy-caliber firearms towards Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk. The adversary has also been employing drones.
As of 20:00 on September 14, a ceasefire regime was established along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which has been periodically violated by the Azerbaijani side.
The Investigative Committee reported on September 30 that as a result of Azerbaijani aggression, the Armenian side has suffered 201 casualties, including 197 servicemen and 4 civilians, with 293 servicemen and 6 civilians injured, and 20 servicemen captured.
On October 4, Azerbaijan returned 17 prisoners of war to Armenia.
