Emergency Situations Ministry Addresses Deterioration of Students' Health at Economic University
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan, stated in an interview with Auroranews that a group of chemical scouts has been working on-site to take samples in order to understand the cause of the students' health deterioration.
“At this time, there have been no reported casualties. It is difficult to say what the cause is, as it was not possible to take samples since the windows and doors were opened before the rescuers arrived,” said Kostanyan.
It should be noted that information was circulated earlier indicating that at the address 77 Paruyr Sevak Street, in the branch of the Armenian State Economic University, students' health had worsened, with a strange odor reported in the building. Before the arrival of the rescuers, approximately 400 students and 35 lecturers were evacuated.
