Economic Growth Accelerates: Deputy Presents Data

The Deputy Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, Babken Tunyan, has announced that economic growth in Armenia has accelerated. According to him, data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia indicates that in the third quarter of 2022, the country’s GDP increased by 14.8% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

“Throughout the year, growth has accelerated. In the first quarter, it was 8.7%, in the second quarter 13%. The construction sector has experienced the fastest growth in the third quarter, at 19.9%. The trade and services sector has grown by 19.1%, and industry by 11.1%. The volume of agricultural production has decreased by 0.1% during the reporting period,” Tunyan wrote on his Facebook page.
