VIDEO. Footage Released from Explosion at Residential Building in Timovskoye, Sakhalin

Footage from the explosion at a residential building in the Timovskoye urban-type settlement of Sakhalin has been released. As reported yesterday, the building suffered partial collapse and later caught fire. The number of casualties has reached 9, including 4 children.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has stated that preliminary data indicates a domestic gas explosion occurred in a five-story residential building, causing the fifth to first floors to collapse, and people may still be trapped under the rubble.

The explosion took place on the fourth floor of the main entrance of the building, which was constructed in the 1970s.
