Two Residents of Yerevan's Number 1 Residential Care Home Commit Suicide

Two residents registered at the Yerevan Number 1 Residential Care Home, operated by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, have committed suicide by hanging from a tree. This information was confirmed during a conversation with Auroranews, although no further details were provided.

However, in an interview with MediaHub, the interim director of the residential care home, Kolya Makaryan, shared more details, specifying that, "The case is currently under investigation. They were residents of the same room and did not have any mental health issues," Makaryan stated.

The individuals who committed suicide are elderly residents Yeghishe and Perj papiks. The incident has raised concerns for the director, who noted that they had never approached him with complaints or any issues. In October, media reports surfaced only about the 80-year-old Perj G.'s suicide, in which a letter was discovered stating that no one was to blame for his death.

"And do not blame anyone. This is my flight of thought. I cannot bear the pain. I do not want to suffer needlessly," were the words written in the letter.

Information regarding Yeghishe's suicide was communicated to MediaHub by reliable sources from the care home. Makaryan mentioned that Yeghishe had taken his own life about three months ago, and the circumstances are still unclear.
