A Soldier's Colleague Arrested in Death Case

The investigation into the case of a soldier who inflicted a fatal gunshot wound to his colleague, V. Hovsepyan, continues at the Ninth Garrison Investigation Division of the Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. We had previously reported that on November 15, 2022, around 03:20, a conscript soldier at the combat position of military unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense fired a burst from an AK-103 assault rifle, resulting in a gunshot wound to the senior soldier, V. Hovsepyan, who later died on the way to the hospital.

Based on a sufficient combination of evidence, the conscript soldier has been charged under Article 540, Part 6 of the RA Criminal Code, and his detention has been chosen as a preventive measure. The investigation is ongoing.
