When Pashinyan Uses These Words, He Must Consider How We Will Respond: Aliyev

Recently, Armenian officials compared Azerbaijan to ISIS and Al-Qaeda, which I believe is very dangerous rhetoric. They themselves have acted as ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

European Union ambassadors have visited liberated territories, areas with historical and religious heritage. This was stated by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev while receiving a delegation led by the EU Special Representative for the Eastern Partnership.

“The Armenians treated those territories as ISIS and Al-Qaeda; it was not us but them who carried out terrorist acts, committed genocide, and destroyed our mosques. But when Mr. Pashinyan uses these words, he must know that we are listening, and he should think about how we will respond,” said the aggressor.

“In short, it is not easy. I emphasize that Armenia should clearly state what it actually wants. If they want to talk about the rights and security of Armenians in Karabakh, that won't happen,” Aliyev added.
