Police Department Issues Statement

The information circulated regarding patrol service vehicles does not reflect reality. This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

There were reports in the media alleging that “the catalytic converters of several patrol service vehicles have been removed and sold.” In connection with this, we state that the information is not true. Patrol service vehicles undergo regular inspections, during which such incidents have not been recorded.

Moreover, the patrol service vehicles are serviced by the official representatives of the corresponding brands in Armenia. In the event of such illegal actions on the vehicles, the organizations would simply refuse to service the mentioned vehicles.
