How the Ministry of Defense Vehicle Overturned: Investigative Committee Provides Details

The "KamAZ" vehicle of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia overturned due to violations of driving regulations. This information has been provided by the press service of the Armenian Investigative Committee.

It became known yesterday that the vehicle overturned, resulting in the death of one soldier and injuries to seven others.

According to the statement, "A conscript soldier from the military unit N of the Ministry of Defense violated the rules of operating a transportation vehicle while driving the 'KamAZ' vehicle to transport the personnel from the military unit to the firing position, which led to the vehicle overturning. One of the soldiers died from sustained injuries, while the others received various bodily injuries and were taken to a garrison military hospital."

The military investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings under Article 538, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (violating rules for operating vehicles, resulting in death through negligence), with efforts underway to clarify all circumstances of the incident. The preliminary investigation continues.
