Erdogan Announces Extension of Grain Deal

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that the participants of the "grain deal" have decided to extend it for 120 days.

"As a result of the quadrilateral negotiations held in Turkey, the agreement on the Black Sea grain corridor has been extended for 120 days in accordance with the decision reached on November 19, 2022, among Turkey, the UN, Russia, and Ukraine," Erdogan wrote on Twitter.

It is noteworthy that agreements were signed in Istanbul on July 22 regarding the removal of restrictions on the supply of Russian goods and support for the export of Ukrainian grain. The deal, signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the UN, allows for the export of Ukrainian grain, food, and fertilizers through three ports, including Odessa.
