The 8 Billionth Person Born in Armenia, According to UNICEF

The eight billionth person on Earth has been born in the Martuni maternity hospital in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. According to data confirmed and published by UNICEF, the newborn who is regarded as the eight billionth person on the planet is a girl named Arpin, daughter of Karen Zakaryan and Ani Kocharyan, residents of the village of Tsovinar in the Gegharkunik region.

The baby was born weighing 2,900 grams and measuring 49 centimeters in height, and is in perfect health. This information was shared by the regional governor Karen Sargsyan on his Facebook page.

It is worth noting that the global population reached 8 billion on November 15, 2022.
