Body of Male Child Found on Bed: Prosecutor's Office on Incident in Pemzashen
On November 9, 2022, at 12:28 PM, a report was received at the Artik fire and rescue squad regarding the residents of Pemzashen village in Shirak region not responding to knocks on the door and phone calls.
An operational group dispatched to the scene discovered the bodies of a resident born in 1991, Z.M., and his children, a daughter born in 2010, K.M., and a son born in 2014, S.M., in the bedroom of House N of that address, all with stab wounds.
On the same day, criminal proceedings were initiated at the Artik and Ani investigative divisions of the Shirak regional investigation department under Article 155, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, and Article 155, Part 2, Clause 5 of the Criminal Code.
Upon inspection of the crime scene, a male child's body was discovered on a single bed in the mentioned bedroom, with stab wounds to the chest and bound hands and feet. The floor of the same bedroom revealed the body of a female child with stab wounds to the back of the chest and abdominal regions, as well as another female body with stab wounds to the abdomen and chest, with her hands tied at the back.
A series of examinations have been appointed, witnesses have been interrogated, and decisions have been made to recognize Z.M., K.M., and S.M. as victims. Urgent investigative and procedural actions are underway, and operational-investigative measures are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify the individual(s) who committed the crime.
The Office of the Prosecutor General will regularly inform the public about the progress of the proceedings and urges the media not to disseminate unverified information or comments regarding the incident that could cause panic and anxiety.
