German Ambassador Summoned by Iran's Foreign Ministry Due to Scholz's Statements
The German Ambassador in Tehran, Hans-Udo Muzel, has been summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry due to remarks made by Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This information was reported by IRNA.
The Director of the Western Europe Department at Iran's Foreign Ministry emphasized Iran's strong protest against Berlin's ineffective approach to the country's internal political events. He stated that the German side bears the responsibility for the impact of such comments on the future of bilateral relations between Tehran and Berlin. The ambassador was also handed an official letter of protest from the Iranian side.
It is noteworthy that Olaf Scholz criticized the Iranian leadership for its actions against demonstrators. “Anyone who shoots at their own citizens should expect our resistance,” the chancellor said.
