The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has denied owning an Apple brand smartwatch. This information was reported by TASS.

The politician responded to earlier reports on social media claiming that he uses American gadgets capable of collecting data about the device owner.

He noted that the device mentioned online was produced by a different foreign company.

“For special ignorants, it is worth explaining that the watch was produced not by Apple, but by Huawei,” the foreign minister said in an interview with the publication.

It is noted that the network drew attention to Lavrov's watch after the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, published a video with the politician on Telegram.
