Video: Child's Life Could Not Be Saved; Mother Threw 1-Year-Old Out of Window in Moscow

A one-year-old girl, thrown from the window of a high-rise building in Moscow by her mother, has died. The actions of the suspect are subject to qualification under the article for 'murder of a minor,' according to the Moscow Prosecutor's Office.

'The girl died in the hospital, and her mother's actions are subject to categorization under Part 2, Clause 'g' of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of a minor),' the statement said.

On Tuesday, a girl born in 2021 was discovered under the windows of a residential building on Sumsky Proyezd, allegedly thrown from the 11th floor by her 26-year-old mother. The child was hospitalized in critical condition, and a criminal case has been initiated.

According to the main office of the Investigative Committee of Moscow, the child's mother was in a depressed state due to her divorce. The woman herself was hospitalized for drug intoxication, and a criminal case has been opened against her.
