Mirzoyan and Bayramov Meet: What is Known

On November 7, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting in Washington, D.C. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministers were hosted at Blair House, where they also had a joint meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The foreign ministers exchanged views on the elements of a potential peace agreement and noted that there are several issues that still need to be addressed.

Both sides reaffirmed the commitments made by the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan during their meetings on October 6 in Prague and October 31 in Sochi.

The foreign ministers agreed to accelerate their negotiations and to hold another meeting in the coming weeks. They expressed gratitude to the American side for facilitating the peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
