Azerbaijani Units Continue to Be Located Near Jermuk, Says Vayots Dzor Governor

The situation at the border is calm, and no incidents have been recorded in Jermuk, said Vayots Dzor Governor Ararat Grigoryan during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.

“A few days ago, the Ministry of Defense published that there was a minor incident, but overall it is peaceful,” he said.

When asked about the number of positions lost in Jermuk, he urged to refer to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia for this question.

Grigoryan announced that, according to their information, Azerbaijani units remain at the approaches of Jermuk, but the Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces is more aware of the situation, in his opinion.

“According to our information, they continue to be there, but the General Staff is better informed because they have all possible means at their disposal, including reconnaissance, etc. If the General Staff has said they have left... in any case, we can see from Jermuk,” said the Vayots Dzor governor.

It should be noted that a few days ago, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Edward Asryan, assured that Azerbaijani forces had pulled back from Jermuk.
