VIDEO: Historic Victory. Arthur Davtyan Becomes World Champion in Artistic Gymnastics

In the finals of the vault at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Liverpool, England, European champion and Olympic bronze medalist Arthur Davtyan scored 15.000 points to win a gold medal. This information was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Armenia.

Davtyan is the first gymnast from independent Armenia to achieve the title of world champion.

“The anthem of the Republic of Armenia sounded for the first time at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Thank you to vault world champion, gymnast Arthur Davtyan,” wrote Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
