Biden Calls Protesters 'Fools'
United States President Joe Biden referred to protesters as "fools" during a pre-election speech in Illinois. He was met with a demonstration, and participants held various signs, including one that read, "Socialism is a swamp."
“I like these signs about socialism. What fools they are! No one ever doubts that I mean what I say; sometimes, of course, I say everything I mean,” Biden said, as quoted by The Hill.
He also noted that if Republicans win, they will cut medical benefits. “Social Security and Medicare are more than just government programs. Work hard and do your part, and when the time comes, it will be easier for you,” he stated.
The President warned during his speech that under Congress's Republican plans, millions of Americans would lose health insurance, benefits, and protections. Some Republicans have promised to repeal certain aspects of the Inflation Reduction Act, which was passed earlier this year with only Democratic support.
Biden declared that Congressional Republicans would also be elected at the expense of your Social Security and medical assistance benefits.
