NATO Calls Risk of Russia Using Nuclear Weapons in Ukraine Low

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that the risk of Russia using nuclear weapons in Ukraine is low, but the alliance takes the issue very seriously. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia has never actively discussed the use of nuclear weapons, and that the idea of Russia potentially using nuclear weapons is used to negatively affect Russia's friendly countries.

“The risk that Russia will use nuclear weapons in Ukraine is low, but the consequences would be enormous, so we take it very seriously. Russia is acting irresponsibly and recklessly. Nuclear weapons would change the nature of the conflict. There will be no winners in a nuclear war. We clarify that this is a message; Russia's nuclear posture has not changed,” Stoltenberg said in an interview with Turkish NTV.
