Biden Responds Firmly to Elon Musk's Acquisition of Twitter

U.S. President Joe Biden has stated that Twitter, owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk, is spreading falsehoods across the globe. “Elon Musk is acquiring a tool that spreads lies worldwide. There are no longer editors in the U.S.,” Biden remarked, with his statements being posted by several White House reporters on Twitter.

He has promised to liberalize the social media platform's editorial policies and establish a content moderation board. On Wednesday, Musk announced his intention to make the microblogging service the world’s most accurate source of information. Previously, the entrepreneur had completed a $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter. Musk has pledged to liberalize the platform’s editorial policies, which have been widely criticized for heavy censorship, and to create a content moderation board. Until the board is operational, no global decisions will be made regarding editorial policies or the restoration of blocked accounts.
