What Will the Authorities Do on the Opposition's Rally Day?
According to the "Hraparak" newspaper, on November 5, the day of the opposition's planned rally, the authorities have decided to carry out a nationwide tree planting event.
Environment Minister Hakob Simidian has sent a letter to the heads of various agencies, suggesting that they ensure the participation of their employees.
The nationwide tree planting will take place in the Jermuk forest department (3 ha), the Ararat forestry (1 ha), the Artsvaberd forestry (4 ha), the Tumanyan forestry (2.5 ha), and the Sisian forestry (10 ha).
The letter has been sent to all ministries, the urban development committee, supervising bodies, and the Prime Minister's Office. The Environment Ministry assured us that the tree planting decision was made earlier than the rally; however, we have learned from opposition members that the decision for the November 5 rally was made about 10 days ago, and the authorities likely had knowledge of it.
