Video: Progress on Visa Liberalization with the EU May Be Achieved Next Year, Says Deputy Foreign Minister

During a joint meeting of the committees of the National Assembly of Armenia, representative of the "Civil Contract" faction Sona Ghazaryan asked Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan about the dialogue regarding visa facilitation with the EU. According to the deputy minister, there is hope for progress on this issue in the upcoming year.

“We discussed this issue last time and presented the situation. This matter remains on our agenda. The situation continues to be quite difficult, but I believe we can achieve certain progress on this issue in the coming year,” said Hovhannisyan.

He noted that the situation is related to the Ukrainian crisis, new migration risks, and the more reserved attitudes of certain EU member states regarding this matter.
