Putin Assures Erdogan That There Are No Plans to Use Nuclear Weapons in Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin assured Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a phone conversation that there are no plans to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine. This was announced on Thursday by the official representative of the Turkish leader, Ibrahim Kalin.
“During the conversations, the Russian side assured Turkey that there are no plans to use nuclear weapons, while the Ukrainian side has refuted allegations about preparations for the use of 'dirty bombs',” TRT quoted Kalin's words.
According to the Turkish president's representative, Ankara intends to invite the conflicting parties to return to peace negotiations.
