The restoration of Russia's participation in the grain deal does not mean that it has been extended, as its validity period has not yet expired, said Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the President of Russia, to reporters.

“No, that’s not the case. Of course, we still need to officially discuss the extension. The term has not yet expired; it is still in effect. You heard the president's statement yesterday, but until the 19th, until a decision is made on the extension. Of course, it will be necessary to assess the effectiveness of the deal,” Peskov said.

He clarified that it will be necessary to evaluate the performance of all parties and the parameters of the agreements.
