Video: Equally Tough Response? Is This Not a Boxing Match? Harutyunyan on Responding to Lukashenko

The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan, believes that appropriate responses have been provided to the remarks made by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. In response to a journalist's question about whether a proportionate tough response has been heard from the Armenian side, he replied, 'A proportionate tough response? Is this not a boxing match that there should be tough and soft responses? We have our strategy and we act accordingly.'

Recall that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko referred to the involvement of Western mediators in the resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict as a political game. 'A game is ongoing. I understand what kind of game it is,' said the Belarusian president.

Addressing the topic of leaving the CSTO and whether the issue of exiting the organization is on the agenda, Arayik Harutyunyan stated that Armenia is doing everything to ensure that the CSTO fulfills its obligations under the treaties.
