In 2020, Many Saw Us as Being Nailed to the Pillar of Shame: Prime Minister

Armenia has managed the coronavirus pandemic so well that, unlike many developed countries, the results have not plummeted. On the contrary, there has been significant progress in terms of economic development, stated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly.

“We remember that in 2020, many were nailing us to the pillar of shame due to the COVID pandemic and what they claimed was poor governance. Some claimed that the COVID pandemic was being managed badly, even giving it catastrophic assessments. However, I believe this topic has been closed and received its assessment,” he said.

According to the Prime Minister, there is a new record for registered jobs in Armenia; as of October, there are 691,000 registered and paid jobs. “Compared to May 2018, the number of jobs as of October 2022 is higher by 143,000, and compared to September 2018, the number of jobs is higher by 108,000,” he detailed.
