Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, during which specific decisions were discussed to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and proposals were made to restore energy infrastructure.

“An extremely important and effective conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. Concrete decisions to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities. Specific initiatives to restore the damaged energy infrastructure. Thank you, my friend, for your relentless support,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

Attacks by Russian armed forces on Ukrainian infrastructure began on October 10, two days after a terrorist act on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, involved Ukrainian special services. The strikes have targeted the country's energy, defense, military command, and communication facilities, causing widespread power outages.
