Putin Instructs to Consider Visa-Free Regime for Foreigners Without Reciprocity Principle
Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the cabinet of ministers to prepare proposals for establishing a visa-free regime for foreigners visiting Russia for tourism, business, and educational purposes, disregarding the reciprocity principle.
"The government of the Russian Federation, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Federal Security Service, is to prepare and submit proposals for establishing a visa-free regime for foreign citizens visiting the Russian Federation for tourism, business, education, as well as for participation in sports and cultural events, without regard to the reciprocity principle," the Kremlin's statement said.
Additionally, Vladimir Putin has also ordered the authorities to consider increasing the volume of air transportation with countries not included in the list of 'unfriendly' nations.
