VIDEO: A Deputy in Novosibirsk Strikes a Child and Flees the Scene of the Accident

A deputy from the 'United Russia' party in the Tatar district of Novosibirsk, Sergey Mamontov, has struck a child and fled the scene of the accident. This was reported by RTVI, referencing data provided by investigators.

According to footage from cameras, the man hit the child, got out of his vehicle to pick up the boy, and then escaped by driving away.

The press service of the regional branch of 'United Russia' stated to TASS, "Sergey Mamontov's actions evoke nothing but bewilderment and disgust. Anyone who hits a child and leaves them without assistance on the road can hardly be called a human being in the full sense of the word. He must be punished to the fullest extent of the law." It was noted that Mamontov has been promised removal from the party.

Only an administrative case has been initiated (for failure to fulfill obligations related to a traffic accident).
