At least 59 people have died and 150 have been injured due to a stampede during Halloween festivities in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. This information was reported by the Yonhap agency, citing authorities.

Local media reported that dozens of individuals went into cardiac arrest, and the exact number of fatalities is still unclear. Medical personnel were seen performing chest compressions on the scene, with many of the injured being hospitalized.
