What Actions Does the 'Civil Contract' Have? Pashinyan Presents

During the 6th congress of the Civil Contract party, held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, party leader Nikol Pashinyan announced three main actions for the implementation of the mid-term program for 2021-2026.

"The first is the establishment of comprehensive and lasting peace according to the principles set forth in the program. The second is the formation of a high-quality and accessible educational system in line with the state law on the approval of the state program for the development of education until 2030. The third is the creation of a professional and capable army in accordance with the government's programs for 2021-2026," said Pashinyan.

According to him, the primary issues involve continuously enhancing the attractiveness of military service, significantly improving the social guarantees for servicemen and their families, establishing new standards and qualitative criteria for military service, technological modernization of the army, and the modernization of military education, including the development of the defense industry through broad international cooperation.

Pashinyan added that to achieve peace, two tasks must be resolved: implementing all provisions of the November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021 agreements, and bringing the Nagorno-Karabakh issue to a certain status.

It should be noted that the congress of the Civil Contract party was originally scheduled for September 18 but was postponed due to the situation in Armenia following Azerbaijani aggression.
