EU Politicians Are 'Collectively Confused': Zakharova

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated on her Telegram channel that EU politicians are "collectively confused" about the rules of Twitter in the region.

"Overall, they are all already confused, if not entranced by their 'rules', which have reached a point of absolute absurdity due to the supremacy of the law," she wrote.

According to her, EU authorities themselves must uphold the 'impossibility' rule regarding the restriction of freedom of speech.

Previously, European Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton told entrepreneur Elon Musk that Twitter would operate under local rules in the European Union.

Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, wished Elon Musk success on Twitter in fighting against "ideological tyranny."
