Armenian Side Has Not Yet Provided Explanation Regarding Zatulini and Simonyan, Kopirkin

The Armenian side has not yet provided an explanation regarding the banning of Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulini and the chief editor of "Russia Today" and RT, Margarita Simonyan, from entering Armenia. This was stated by Sergey Kopirkin, the Russian ambassador to Armenia, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.

“We have officially requested clarifications regarding this situation. There has been no response yet,” said the ambassador.

It is noteworthy that on October 25, Konstantin Zatulini received a letter from the Armenian National Assembly informing him that his entry into the Republic of Armenia was undesirable. Zatulini was scheduled to visit Armenia on October 28 to attend a meeting of the "Lazarev Club," which he founded.

Following this, Margarita Simonyan also announced that she had been banned from entering Armenia.

On October 27, Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Moscow had requested clarifications from Yerevan regarding the ban on Zatulini's entry into Armenia.
