We Hope Russia Will Support Its Proposals: Pashinyan Posts
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has made a post on the Twitter microblog: “Armenia agreed in early September to work on the basic principles and parameters for the establishment of international relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan proposed by the Russian Federation and is ready to confirm this in Sochi. We hope that Russia will support its proposals.”
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia considers it necessary to sign a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and will support any option chosen by the Armenian people and leadership. “But we will not impose anything. We cannot and do not plan to dictate anything to Armenia. If the Armenian people and the current leadership find that a specific option of this peace treaty should be chosen... Washington, as I understand it, suggests recognizing Azerbaijan's sovereignty over all of Nagorno-Karabakh; if Armenia thinks so, well, please,” Pashinyan emphasized.
