VIDEO: Putin Comments on Journalists’ Publication of Phone Conversation with Emmanuel Macron

Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on the recording of his phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, released by journalists. This was reported by Vzglyad.

During a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, the leader stated, in response to a relevant question, that he now assumes someone is listening when he talks to Macron.

When asked if he checks who is sitting next to Macron while speaking with him, Putin replied negatively: "I now assume that someone is listening." Remember that in July, a report was released detailing the phone conversation between Macron and Putin. The details of the talks were disclosed by journalists from France 2 TV channel.

It was noted that Emmanuel Macron called Vladimir Putin four days before the start of the special operation in Ukraine. During the negotiations, the French president urged Putin to express his views on the situation.

"What can I say? You see what is happening. In fact, our esteemed colleague Mr. Zelensky is doing nothing (to implement the Minsk agreements). He is lying to you," the Russian leader responded.
