Authorities in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, have released new data regarding the casualties and injuries from the Halloween festivities. According to the latest reports, 146 people have died and 150 have been injured in the tragic incident that occurred this evening.
Notably, people continued to celebrate despite the tragedy that unfolded in the city center. Eyewitnesses have shared footage on social media showing individuals dancing directly in front of ambulances. This behavior has drawn criticism from other residents of Korea.
Earlier reports indicated 120 fatalities. The incident took place in the Itaewon district, where several dozen individuals reportedly suffered cardiac arrests during the crowd surge. Overall, emergency services received 81 calls from citizens complaining about difficulty breathing. Emergency response teams are currently working at the scene.
