We Are Actively Working to Ensure Our Army Meets Turkish Armed Forces Standards: Hasanov

It is known that we are closely cooperating with the Turkish armed forces. Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov stated this during the ongoing "Saha Expo" in Turkey, as reported by the Azerbaijani APA agency.

"By the order of the President of Azerbaijan, we are actively working to ensure that our army meets the standards of the Turkish Armed Forces. Naturally, in this context, we have the task of equipping the Azerbaijani army with modern weapons produced in Turkey," emphasized the Azerbaijani Defense Minister, adding that Azerbaijan is very interested in most of the weapons presented at the exhibition.

Hasanov also noted that Azerbaijan has already signed contracts with Turkey for the acquisition of these armaments. Speaking about the "Turkish model" implemented in the Azerbaijani army, Hasanov stated, "A significant amount of work has been completed. The organizational structure and system have changed. The changes have mainly occurred at the leadership level."
