Ruben Vardanyan Examines Officials: 'Hraparak'
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that businessman Ruben Vardanyan, who has moved to Artsakh after renouncing his Russian citizenship, recently accepted the offer from Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan to serve as the Minister of State. In recent days, he has been in intensive meetings with various political and public circles.
He is conducting separate meetings and visiting government officials, including ministers and senior staff of ministries. Our sources in Artsakh believe that Vardanyan is assessing the government members to later understand who he will work with and who he might 'cut' or change. It is certain that changes are on the way. Notably, it has already been announced that Vardanyan will be appointed the Minister of State on November 4.
The future Minister of State has also reportedly met with Tigran Petrosyan, a representative from the Artsakh NGO sector who has been conducting continuous protests in front of the presidential palace for two months, demanding the resignation of certain officials. The meeting also included Arman Hakobyan, the chairman of the board of the 'Kapavor' company and the son of the former Minister of Urban Development of Artsakh, who is closely associated with businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan, heavily involved in construction projects in the region.
This meeting reportedly led to the cessation of the protests. There are also claims that Vardanyan promised Petrosyan to appoint him as his advisor and implement personnel changes in response to their demands.
